Today I learned Braided Way will be publishing my poem. This spiritual magazine is full of literature, art, perspectives, religion, mysticism, personal journeys and more, and Editor Laura Weldon is a delight to work with.
“Half Moons Have Always Been Toothless,” “Genetics of Paternal Love,” and “My Grove”
08/02/25 Looking forward to three of my poems being published on September 1st by Verse-Virtual, an online poetry journal that encourages community and positive communication among its contributors. Editor, Jim Lewis, responds quicker than rain drops dribbling down a window.
“Grieving Horses”
07/18/25 So happy this poem will be published online October 9th by The Milk House, a unique “rural writing collective” that explores the rural experience. For some, it will have that familiar ring of home; for others, maybe a longing?
2025 HEART Poetry Award
07/17/25 Grateful to have my poem, “Meadow Prayer” selected as an Honorable Mention by Greg Held. I somehow came across this enticing little magazine with its intriguing history at Nostalgia Press, home of HEART and enjoyed working with Editor Connie Lakey Martin. The Winner and Honorable Mentions will be published in HEART 20 by the end of 2025.
Touchstone’s 2025 Ekphrastic Contest
07/16/25 Thrilled my poem, “A Measure of Life and Love” was selected as an Honorable Mention by Touchstone, journal of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire. Editor David Banach is supportive and wonderful to work with. It was so much fun to respond to a piece of artwork that had been published in the spring journal. The poem will appear in the fall edition, but it can be viewed online now with the link on my Poems page.
